In loving memory
Honor a loved one’s memory with a dedication l’ilui nishmat at the Western Wall.
Through your act of tzedakah, charitable giving, our team in Jerusalem recites Tehillim, Psalms, in your loved one’s memory and places a personal prayer note at the Western Wall.
Psalms in remembrance. A note at the Wall. A gift in a loved one’s memory.
The prayer, the note, and your gift are dedicated l’ilui nishmat, “for the elevation of the soul.” We email you confirmation to keep and share. Your tzedakah also helps provide meals and essentials for Jewish families.
You do not need to be Jewish or know the Psalms. Everyone is welcome.

Tzedakah in a loved one’s memory
You might remember someone through a favorite story, a familiar recipe, or a kind act they taught you. Giving in that person’s memory is another way to carry the remembrance into your life.
In Jewish tradition, tzedakah can be dedicated l’ilui nishmat, meaning “for the elevation of the soul.” This describes the intention behind your gift. Here, that intention connects your charitable giving with the Tehillim recited in the same person’s memory.
Your donation helps support Jewish families with meals and essentials. A larger gift helps extend that support. Choose an amount that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
A name remembered through prayer and an act of giving.
What does l’ilui nishmat mean?
L’ilui nishmat means “for the elevation of the soul.” It expresses the intention behind dedicating Tehillim and tzedakah in a loved one’s memory. You share a name, and that person is remembered through the prayer, the note, and your charitable gift.
A memorial dedication at the Western Wall
You may be far from Jerusalem, but a loved one’s name can be spoken there in prayer and written in a note placed at the Wall.
Your emailed confirmation gives you a record of that dedication. Keep it for yourself or share it with family and friends who remember the same person.
Questions about your memorial dedication
What is included in the memorial dedication?
Tehillim recited in your loved one’s memory, a memorial note placed at the Western Wall, and charitable support for Jewish families. The gift summary shows your confirmation format and any additional inclusions.
Do I need to know a Hebrew name?
No. Share the name you know. If you have a Hebrew name, you can include it too.
What can I write in the memorial note?
You can include a short remembrance, prayer, or personal message alongside your loved one’s name. The personal message is optional.
Will I receive a photograph or a video?
The $54 gift includes photo confirmation. Gifts of $180 and above include video confirmation. Your gift summary shows what you will receive.
When will I receive confirmation?
We will email your confirmation when it is ready, after the Tehillim recitation and memorial note placement.
Is this a daily or recurring prayer arrangement?
The base dedication covers one memorial occasion. A yahrzeit reminder alone does not arrange another prayer.
Will I be charged each year?
No. Your donation is one-time. An optional yahrzeit email reminder does not make another donation or renew your gift.
